Honours Nominations - Guidance Any individual can nominate a deserving person within their community for public recognition. Honours Nomination Forms will be sent to applicants on request to:Ceremonial Secretariat The Nomination Form contains guidelines on how it should be completed, what information should be included and gives advice about supporting letters. If you need further advice when completing the form please contact Joanne Holmes at the Lieutenancy Office. Lists of those awarded an Honour are published on New Year's Day and on The Queen's official birthday in June. Only a small proportion of submissions is successful and a proven track record of selfless voluntary service within the community or outstanding achievement is essential to gain recognition. It may take up to 18 months for an Honour to be awarded.
