How to recognise members of The Lieutenancy of Kent |
|
You can recognise the Lord Lieutenant, Vice Lord Lieutenant and some of the Deputies from the uniform worn on formal occasions. It is based on the Number 1 dress uniform worn by general officers of the Army - a symbol of the office's military origin. In civilian dress on official occasions Kent's Deputy Lieutenants
wear a badge of office unique to the County. Its distinctive feature
is the diamond or lozenge-shape of the pendant that carries the
County's rearing white horse emblem above the motto: Invicta. |
