LORD LIEUTENANT’S RECEPTION FOR KENT’S HIGH SHERIFFS – PAST AND PRESENT

MOST of Kent’s surviving former High Sheriffs attended a reception hosted by the Lord Lieutenant Allan Willett and his wife Anne at their Chilham home on Sunday, 14 March.

Welcoming them, the Lord Lieutenant praised the work of the present High Sheriff, Jane Rogers.

He said his aim during the last 18 months of his Lieutenancy was to leave a legacy of pride in the County’s past and of confidence in its future.

He added that he was confident the Shrievalty and Lieutenancy would continue to work closely together for the good of the County.

He and Mrs Willett were thanked by Mrs Rogers on behalf of the 24 members of the Shrievalty and their partners who attended the reception.
